Our Roots
The Rumford Center Village Improvement Society (VIS) was formed in 1924. The purpose of VIS includes maintaining the historic Rumford Center Meeting House and providing a forum to strengthen the community through joint action, respecting rural values, the environment, and diverse opinion.
The Rumford Center Village Improvement Society is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization.

Membership
Become a Member of the Rumford Center Village Improvement Society! Membership is $25 per household per year. Our membership year runs May thru April. To join, send payment to Rumford Center Village Improvement Society at PO Box 361, Rumford, ME 04276. Please include your name, contact information, and note the payment is for membership.
Fundraising Efforts
Help us raise funds to repair and restore the 1827 Rumford Center Meeting House. We are accepting cash and in-kind donations for Phase 1 of the Restoration Plan - which includes a new foundation for the building. Please contact us for more information on Phase 1 and the many ways to help.
